Fiddle...

I am just dying to know how you are doing and if you are being affected by this hurricane Ike? When I heard about it you are the first one I thought of besides Daffy and Venus who served there missions down there. But I left a post on your blog as well just want to know if you are okay? -Daisy

Hey Daisy! We are just fine. We live in Austin (about two and half hours from Houston). Austin is hosting a bunch of evacuees but that is about the extent of my involvement in the hurricane : ) Last night on the news they said we could anticipate very strong winds and rain about 5-6 inches (A LOT!), but this morning when I woke up I checked the news and it said there is just a 30% chance of rain. I guess the storm is headed more North than NorthWest. So we may just get a little rain is all. Which I suppose is a blessing! I started getting nervous because even here there was a run on home depot for generators and the stores were very crowded and running out of water, etc. But I think we lucked out this time. Anyway, it is different here our stake president has been sending out e-mails about what we will need to do if we shelter church members from Houston and the missionaries from Houston, so hopefully if people need help we will be able to help, but lucky I don't think we'll be affected other than that. Sorry that was all gibberish ! Thanks for caring about us though : )

I am so glad to hear that, my little Cambri was up that night and so I was watching the weather channel and watching it hit the coast that was scary those reporters are insane!! I can't even imagine going through something like that, and losing everything. I am glad you and your family are safe. Thanks for answering so quick I think I would have panicked had you not!
