Funny story- Today I had a big task at hand, to clean the carpets in my house. I did it, thank you, thank you! But it took quite a while because I had to do it all carrying Porter. If I didn't hold him, he started to totally wig. I have never heard him wail so loud, since he has been born. And of course, all I could do was laugh. Am I such a mean mom? Oh well. It was just funny. Thought I would share. You guys have other things your kids get scared of-and you laugh?
Oh, and I just had Morgan tell me that she wished I was never her mom, because I won't let her have another piece of candy. Oh, and yesterday she told us that we were the worst parents in the world because we were making her eat one bite of a pear. Boy, if only she knew what good parents were really were!

So I have a question how old is Porter? Because at 10 months Chadley Lynn did the same thing. She had to be held and wouldn't let me put her down.
I used to tell my mom she was the worst mom in the world when I was 5 and 6. She says the first time it really hurt but then she would have to keep from laughing at me. I am not looking forward to the day that Maggie pulls that on me.

The first time Morgan said something like that, was when she was just under two. We were leaving a playground, and she didn't want to. She then told me that she didn't want our family to be together forever. Then she told me that I was the worst mom. But by golly, I just laughed. How could you not? It doesnt offend me when she says thing like that, because I know that it is just in the heat of the moment.
Porter is 9 months old. He doesn't want me to hold him all of the time, at least not now. It was just because the carpet cleaner was so loud, it scared him so bad. It really was quite funny.
Oh Buttons, I totally understand. Gwen still freaks out when I vacuum! We have to have a serious peptalk about it before hand. Bentley screams the whole time and Gwen sits on the highest thing she can find and tries to not cry. Kind of funny. I also learned the hard way a couple of days ago that Bentley would rather die then sit through another round of the automatic car wash thing! Holy smokes!
So...I've been thinking a lot about carpet cleaning. Did you buy a carpet cleaner? Rent one? What kind? Just curious!
Oh and Gwen says all the time that she doesn't want to be a part of this family. Then lots of times she says she is glad she is a part of this family. Oh well : )
That is a fun story! When Lily was little she would cry when the geico (?) commercial came on TV that had little richard on it. She was scared to death of him which I think is totally appropriate he is scary.
Norah cries every time I say no, to her or anyone. It is very funny. My FIL gets mad because I laugh everytime she does it. He thinks I am mean, I don't really care.
So about the carpet cleaning, I just rented a rug doctor thing from the grocery store. It was 21.99, then a upholstery thing for 4.99 (I used it for the stairs) and then some cleaner (which was about $10. so over all I spent about $40 after taxes. It took a little while-probably because I was holding Porter, and I didn't get some of the heavy traffic stains out. But I did get most of it. We have this whitish carpet with specks-horrible stuff! Anyways, it was ok. However after I did it, I got a coupon in the mail for 2 rooms plus a hallway or stairs for $59. I wish I had gone that route. Oh well. You live and learn. I only did our main room and the stairs, and that took most of the day. Anyways. I would love to buy one, but that is not in the budget for now. Anyways-hope that answers it. Now I am the shoe Nazi in my house. No shoes, at least for now. Good luck!
