So, I've been dying to share this news with everyone for a few weeks now....as of yesterday (12/1/08), Damon's biological parents relinquished their parental rights and we can adopt Damon in March! BEST CHRISTMAS GIFT EVER!!! I feel bad for them but am EVER so grateful we have him in our lives...it's a bitter sweet feeling. Anyway, just wanted to let ya'll know!!! I also have a question to ask....we're thinking that we're going to change his name but I can't seem to find a name that really strikes me....any suggestion on names?

Congratulations! That is absolutely fabulous! I am so so so happy for you guys! I cannot wait to meet him someday. As for names, I don't really know him so it is hard to think of a name. I do know that Porter was a perfect fit for my little boy, but I don't know about him. We liked Parker, Peter (call him Pete) lots of P names, and Lucas. Morgan likes Troy (from high school muscial, isn't that exciting!) Anyways, I'll try to think of some. Good luck, and again, congrats!

Congratulations Duzz! That's going to be so awesome! He is such a handsome little guy. I wonder if there is an easier transition name that might make the whole name change thing less stressful...like if the name still started with a "D" or endid in "on". Braydon...Jaydon....Davey....uh. Who knows. You may want to consult a professional psychologist instead of me : ) He is so cute, get some more pictures up here lady!

I would think of anyone that is really special to you or pick a name that means something that describes him. Caleb means brave. And Cambri was named after a soldiers daughter that was in our ward the mother had to serve in Iraq when her little girl was 6 months old and didn't come home until she was 2 it was very touching to me. And I liked the name and it started with C for our little CTR initials! Anyway going with Buttons Peter could be after Peter Breinholt! Anyway good luck with the name picking!
Duzz, he is so beautiful! I have been doing a lot of transcription about the parents of cases like this, and it makes me so sad. BUT, it also makes me so happy for people like you! You help me to remember the beautiful part of these sad stories! I am so happy for you! What an amazing experience for you! We need to get our two year old boys together sometime and play! I am always a fan of the name Matthew! :) (I'm a little prejudice, since I live with two of them!)You know what, you will find the right name for him! He is so cute! Congratulations!
