This is fun! Update on me- Chris and I bought a house in October in Pleasant Grove. Our first update to the house was the rock climbing wall in the garage.
I'm teaching Technology at Eastmont Middle School (and right now math summer school). My friend, Batman (all right, here last name is Bateman but I take out the "e") have had some real adventures rappelling from the ceiling and catching bad guys during assemblies.
This year we also had a "Phantom" that haunted the school-at the end of the year he rappelled from the ceiling with a guitar on his back and then he and I and the Student Body Officers played and sang "Born to be Wild" as a farewell to the school year. I have a lot of fun there.
Other news-I broke Chris' rib my first night at a jiu-jitsu class. I threw him down and he landed bad. It seems I am prone to breaking people's bones (in 2004 at Oakcrest I sat on a girl and broke her arm).
Things are going really well. Chris and I have just started a business teaching exercise classes on mini trampolines (aka rebounders), we sell the tramps and are about to make an exercise video along with some other training videos for some friends. It sounds pretty cheesy, but we're actually having a lot of fun.
I think that about covers what's been going on. I'm looking forward to hearing from more of you.

Star Checking In
I love the blog idea! Thanks, Fiddle, for setting it all up! Just a little update on me and my family...My husband Jeff and I are living in Roosevelt (a small town in Eastern Utah). We have an 18 month old daughter McKinlee. Jeff works as a Diesel Mechanic at the family business and I get to stay home with McKinlee! She keeps me pretty busy...she's quite the little explorer and a little mischievous! I love it! We moved into our house last fall and I have been having so much fun planting flowers and doing yard work this year. Anyways, that's about it for us! I'm excited to keep in touch this way!

Favor....
So I don't know how to do a blog but I am slowly trying to learn. But my favor is if everyone will put there camp name instead of their real name or both because as sad as this sounds I don't know everyones real name and so when someone posts something and it says there real name I am so lost on who it is?!! Anyway just a thought. I do love the word FREE so it works for me plus it is about time I learn about this blog stuff! Oh and I tried to post this as a comment on the whoa bear posting and it wouldn't let me, did you change it so you have to post something instead of comment? And if so how do you comment on what someone said without it being somewhere way far away from that posting? I hope that made sense??

Howdy y'all!
Well the big news in our life is that baby #3 is on the way. I think we'll call him/her "Whoopsie". ;) We are enjoying our life in Austin, Texas-- we are on like the 35th straight day of temps over 95, dang! We are so excited to be visiting Utah, especially since we are going to be able to make it to the Oakcrest reunion! Yahoo! Life is just trucking along. The guy in the cammo in the background isn't Blaine, don't worry :) He looks about the same ; ). Love you guys!

So this was pretty funny. Leki loves "washing his hands" in the sinks, so he's learned about "water ON" and "water OFF." This was Waf's version. He was standing by kinking the hose. Water off... Water... Ok, so I didn't get a pict of Leki and Enos getting sprayed, but it would've been cool. Just use your imagination.
In other news, I have successfully completed one of my four summer classes! I'm relieved to have more time for the other ones! It's been hectic for a while!

Warrior
So I saw Warrior last night. She is the cutest thing with her pregnant belly! She isn't very big. She definitely doesn't look like she only has 2 weeks left! But her poor feet were so swollen! She is due on July 7th, so she hopes the baby comes as early as possible so she can come to the reunion. It's a little girl and they don't know what they are going to name her yet. Can you see Warrior with a pink, frilly, little girl!? She's excited and said to tell everyone hi!

Chicky
So I just got back from the services. It was so amazing. chicky is doing very well, but it was tough to see her. I couldn't imagine what she is going through. As I pulled up (a few minutes late) I saw everyone there and I just started to get all emotional. The casket was so small. There were these roses, 4 of them, with their names on each one-Mom, Dad, Tanner, and Tyson (the baby that died). She really is holding up really well. She says thank you for all of the prayers. I told her that everyone sends their love and hugs. The speakers were very nice and comforting. Anyways-just thought I would let you all know. I'll keep you updated as I get together with her next week and check up on her.

The Fun Has Arrived!!!

So...
...how about this idea...
What if we disable the comment feature, so if you want to say something, you have to post it. That way, everyone can easily read everyone's comments, kinda like the website. What do you think? (You can comment here, since I haven't gotten rid of the feature yet! or leave a new post!)

Gadget's Excited about this!!
I know I haven't been on the myfamily.com site for forever, but I still love seeing what everyone is up to, so I think a blog is a beautiful idea. I think if you have a personal or family blog we should start a list off to the side as well then we can talk to each other here and still read up on everyone else's adventures as well. I'm at laxmanfamily.blogspot.com it is a restricted blog, so email me at kristy dot laxman at gmail dot com and I'll give you an invite. Love you girls, thanks for all you've contributed to my life over the years!!
Always,
Gadget

Me too!
I'm excited to have another blog to check. I always forget to check the my family site, but I'm always blog hopping! Nice work Fids!
Here's my update. I FINALLY got married just over a year ago to Beau, and he is wonderful!
Now we are expecting our first baby in October. Here's a picture of my big belly.
This is especially for Cricket. I feel the baby move all the time, and it usually is okay. Sometimes it's really hard or it kicks my organs and it's not much fun. I haven't been really grossed out by it (for those of you who don't know, I always thought I would get grossed out by something living inside me) until last night! I was looking at my belly, and I could see the baby move, not just feel it and I was pretty grossed out. Just thinking about it makes me grossed out. So, anyway, it's been quite the adventure.
That's all for me. I'm excited to be able to keep up on everyone this way!

GREAT IDEA!!!!
Hey Kristi,
This is an amazing idea! Good thinkin'! Now I can check out what's going on with everyone a lot easier! So fun!
A little update on me: Things here are going well. I am finally settled into my new home. We are working on our yard, which has been SO FUN!!! So, that was said with a little more enthusiasm than I meant it! But, it really has been fun! Our little boy is growing SO fast! I can't believe he's already almost two! He is such a great little guy, and we have a good time together. I finished working at the elementary school I was at, and now am going to start working from home for Valley Mental Health, doing their transcription work from their doctors. I start today, and heard it is a bit discouraging at first. Wish me luck! Matthew Sr. is still at Goldman Sachs, and LOVES it! It is so nice that he totally loves his job. It makes for a happier family life, that's for sure! :)
Anyway, that is us, in a nutshell!
I can't wait to hear everyone's updates!!! Love y'all tons!

Whoa Bear!
Hey, so what do you all think....are you interested in switching our site to a free blog? I could put us all as contributors and then we would all have full access to stuff. We have virtually unlimited space, we can label our posts by person so it would be easier to search for an old post. Leave a comment and share your opinion!
